*Based on a hardness of 100ppm. Note: Chlorine (free chlorine) tolerance is 1ppm - high chlorine levels permanently damage the softening resin & is not covered under warranty. If chlorine exceeds this limit, we recommend a carbon pre-filter such as the WH2 or CFS Series. Please refer to Puretec for a specific recommendation. In any case, a carbon pre-filter is recommended to protect against chlorine spikes & prolong the resin life.
^Warranty is 1 year parts and labour, plus 5 years parts only. Excludes consumables. Extended Warranty: For Softrol™ System models SOL30-E1, SOL30-E3, SOL40-E1, and SOL40-E3, when a Puretec pre-filter (models WH2-55, WH2-60, FILTERWALL-F3, FILTERWALL-F4, FILTERWALL-F5, FILTERWALL-F6) is installed and both Puretec cartridges and Softrol™ media are routinely replaced per product instructions, the Softrol™ System warranty extends to 10 years from purchase (1 year parts & labour, 9 years parts only, excluding consumables). This warranty excludes consumables (Puretec cartridges, Softrol™ replacement media kits), damage from misuse, neglect, improper installation, external causes, use of non-genuine parts, and labour costs after year 1. Claims: Written notification with proof of purchase and maintenance records is required for claims, subject to Puretec verification and approval.
